How To Use
To Activate Heat:
Squeeze the metal coin located inside the heat pad until you hear a CLICK. The liquid will begin to crystallize and heat up. To speed up crystallization, simply shake the heat pad until it is completely crystallized. Massage the heat pad for a few seconds to make it soft and pliable. Apply to desired area of your body. When the head pad cools down, it will become solid and hard.
To Use Cold:
Simply place the pack in the refrigerator (not the freezer). In the refrigerator the cold pack will cool to a soothing 32 degrees and remain in a liquid form. Note: Placing in the freezer for too long will make the pack appear frozen although really the heat activator was just set off and will need to be reset to its liquid form again.
To Re-Use Heat Pack:
Place the heat pad into a non stick pot of boiling water to melt the crystals back into liquid form. If you do not have a non stick pan then place a dish cloth on the bottom of the pot to prevent the pad from possibly sticking! Depending on the size of the pad, it may take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes to melt the crystals back to liquid form. NOTE: If the crystals are not completely melted, it will re-crystallize. You will know it is done when the liquid is completely clear. Allow unit to cool.
